What We Retain

Everything a board audit asks for

Most state boards place the burden of proof on the licensee, not the provider — if you’re audited, you’re the one who needs the paperwork. CivilCE’s recordkeeping exists to make that burden painless.

Every course you complete generates a certificate recording the course title, assigned PDH value, completion date, and provider details. That certificate is stored in your account and stays retrievable for as long as your account exists — well beyond your 24-month access term.

We recommend downloading and saving your own copy of each certificate as you earn it, in addition to the copy retained in your account, since most boards ask you to retain records for a period of years after each renewal cycle.

  • Retained past your access term. Certificates don’t disappear when your 24 months end.
  • Instant retrieval. Log in and download any past certificate on demand.
  • Audit-ready format. Every field a board typically requests is on the certificate itself.
  • Audit assistance. If a board ever questions a credit, we stand behind the documentation with you.
